This project was designed for the Italian menswear brand, Sartorie Ducali. The purpose of this project is to combine Italian tradition and the latest innovations, nature, and technology, sustainable and sophisticated approaches. With particular attention towards new, organic and biologic yarns, the two brands cooperate to satisfy the needs of the modern businessman, always traveling and in search of the garments which can provide comfort and ease in every situation. Elegance, sportswear, and applied technology finally find a concrete way to coexist, creating a totally new lifestyle inspired by nature.
This project was realized in the first year of the Master course of Politecnico di Milano.

Sartorie Ducali target is represented by the businessman that travels for work, who seeks high performance, as comfortable, breathable and anti-wrinkle, eco-friendly garments. A man that needs to be tidy and elegant but also cozy in every situation.

The project translates the businessman travel into a journey through different environments, an imaginary journey from the Equator to the Poles to merge natural and artificial worlds. Five environments have been analyzed: Mediterranean wood, alpine mountains, freshwater environment, milkweed plants environment, and tropical one. We allocate each city of a work trip to one kind of plant living in a certain environment.

1- Casual Style
Comfort, composure, performance. The casual outfit is characterized by a clean and simple line, with functional details. The synthetic and natural fabrics are combined to obtain higher performance, but also taking care about the impact of these clothes on the environment, using eco-friendly fibers as nettle fiber. A complete outfit with combining all the characteristics that could satisfy the needs of the consumer was developed. Details and finishes from technic garments, as heat welding seams, are combined with a smart elegant attitude. Reflective bands and threads were integrated to be always visible.
2- Elegant Attire
The second outfit which constitutes the collection is a more elegant one. Each garment is studied to provide comfort while maintaining composure, without seeming trivial. Refined cuts, sophisticated details, natural materials bestow the perfect look for formal, business and social occasions.
